Wow Will you sang this with more feeling than either Paul or any other recording I have heard....BRILLIANT!!! 5*.....Barbara Albert❤Viennese MEGA EXCELLENT RENDITION MATE. Paul Albert Anka, OC (born July 30, 1941) is a Canadian singer songwriter, and actor. Anka first became famous as a teen idol in the late 1950s and 1960s with hit songs like "Diana'", "Lonely Boy", and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder". He went on to write such well-known music as the theme for The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and one of Tom Jones's biggest hits, "She's a Lady", and the English lyrics for Frank Sinatra's signature song, "My Way" (originally French song "Comme d'habitude") Lonely Boy" is a song written and recorded by Paul Anka in 1959. Anka sang this song in the film Girls Town. When released as a single, it topped the Billboard Hot 100,[1] becoming Anka's first song to do so, although he had earlier topped Billboard's Best Sellers in Stores chart with "Diana". The song was covered in 1971 by Billy "Crash" Craddock, which was released on the album Knock Three Times. Donny Osmond had a 1972 single revival of the song, charting as the B-side to his hit single, "Why". Category: Music

REMEMBER TO COMMENT, LIKE, AND SUBSCRIBE! :) Till There Was You From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia For other uses, see Till There Was You (disambiguation). "Till There Was You" is a song written by Meredith Willson for his 1957 musical play The Music Man, and which also appeared in the 1962 movie version. The song is sung by librarian Marian Paroo (Barbara Cook on Broadway, Shirley Jones in the film) to Professor Harold Hill (portrayed by Robert Preston) toward the end of Act Two. The first recording of this song to be released came even before the original cast album version of January 1958. Promotional copies of the 45 rpm single, Capitol P3847, were released on November 26 1957, even before the Broadway production had premiered on December 19. Produced by Nelson Riddle, it featured his orchestra and 17-year-old vocalist Sue Raney. In 1959, Anita Bryant recorded a single which reached #30 on the Billboard Hot 100, #14 on the Cashbox Top 100; a 1962 instrumental version by Valjean was also popular. [edit]The Beatles version "Till There Was You" Song by The Beatles from the album With The Beatles Released22 November 1963 RecordedAbbey Road Studios: 18 and 30 July 1963 GenrePop Length2:16 LabelParlophone WriterMeredith Willson ProducerGeorge Martin With The Beatles track listing [show]14 tracks Music sample "Till There Was You" The Beatles' version was included on their albums With The Beatles (UK release, 1963) and Meet The Beatles! (US release, 1964). The song was the only Broadway tune that The Beatles ever recorded. "Till There Was You" was a minor hit in the UK for Peggy Lee in March 1961. Paul McCartney was introduced to her music by his older cousin, Bett Robbins, who would occasionally baby-sit the two McCartney brothers.[1] McCartney said: "I had no idea until much later that it was from The Music Man."[2] "Till There Was You" was part of The Beatles' repertoire in 1962 and performed at the Star Club in Hamburg.[3] It became illustrative of The Beatles' versatility, proving they could appeal to all sections of an audience, moving easily from ballads to rock and roll, as in their appearance at the 1963 Royal Variety Performance when they followed this song with "Twist and Shout". The Beatles had previously performed "Till There Was You" as part of their failed audition for Decca Records in London on 1 January 1962,[3] and it was the second of five the group sang during their first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on 9 February 1964.[4] Live versions of the song were released on Live at the BBC (1994) and Anthology 1 (1995). The latter version was recorded when The Beatles played at the Royal Command (Variety) Performance in November 1963. When introducing this song at the Royal Command Performance, McCartney commented that the song "had also been recorded by our favourite American group, Sophie Tucker".[5] This tongue-in-cheek comment by McCartney unwittingly began an urban legend - now all over the internet - that 'Till There Was You' was an old Sophie Tucker song, when in fact, there is no record of her ever performing the tune. Paul Anka - Diana (with Lyrics & Subtitle) - "Diana" is a song written and made famous by Paul Anka in 1957. "Diana" also hit number one on the R&B Best Sellers list chart. It also reached number 1 in the UK single chart and has sold 1.25 million in the UK. He is best known for his 1975 hits "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" and the subsequent remake of his own "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights". In January 1954, at the age of 16, Fender quit school and started a three-year hitch in the United States Marine Corps. However, he was court-martialed in August 1956 and was discharged with rank of Private (E-1). He returned to Texas and played nightclubs, bars and honky-tonks throughout the south, mostly to Latino audiences. In 1957, then known as El Bebop Kid, he released two songs to moderate success in Mexico and South America: Spanish-language versions of Elvis Presley's "Don't Be Cruel" (as "No Seas Cruel") and Harry Belafonte's "Jamaica Farewell." He also recorded his own Spanish version of Hank Williams's "Cold Cold Heart" under the title "Tu Frio Corazon". He became known for his rockabilly music and his cool persona as Eddie Con Los Shades. In 1958, the musician changed his name from Baldemar Huerta to Freddy Fender. He took Fender from the guitar and amplifier, and Freddy because the alliteration sounded good to him and it would,"...sell better with Gringos!"[1] He then headed for California. Writers Ben Peters, Vivian Keith If he brings you happiness, Then I wish you all the best. It's your happiness, that matters most of all. But it he ever breaks your heart, If the teardrops ever start, I'll be there, before the next teardrop falls. Si te quiere de verdad, Y te da felicidad, Te deseo lo mas bueno pa' los dos. PRODUCED, ARRANGED, EDITED & SUNG BY WILL... ROY ORBISON SONGS!! Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 – December 6, 1988), also known by the nickname The Big O, was an American singer-songwriter, best known for his trademark sunglasses, distinctive, powerful voice, complex compositions, and dark emotional ballads. Orbison grew up in Texas and began singing in a rockabilly/country and western band in high school until he was signed by Sun Records in Memphis. His greatest success came with Monument Records between 1960 and 1964, when 22 of his songs placed on the Billboard Top 40, including "Only the Lonely", "Crying", and "Oh, Pretty Woman". His career stagnated through the 1970s, but several covers of his songs and the use of "In Dreams" in David Lynch's film Blue Velvet (1986) revived his career

02:51
REMEMBER TO COMMENT, LIKE, AND SUBSCRIBE! :) SUNG BY WILL Warm by Johnny Mathis Johnny Mathis (born John Royce Mathis, September 30, 1935) is an American singer of popular music. One of the last in a long line of traditional male vocalists who emerged before the 1960s, Mathis concentrated on romantic jazz and pop standards for the adult contemporary audience through to the 1980s. Starting his career with a flurry of singles of standards, Mathis became more popular as an album artist, with a dozen of his albums achieving gold or platinum status, and over 60 making the Billboard charts.[1]According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Mathis has certified sales of over 17 million units in the United States.[2] Early life Mathis was born on September 30, 1935 in Gilmer, Texas, the fourth of seven children to Clem and Mildred Mathis. The family moved when he was young to San Francisco, California on Post Street, in the famous Fillmore district where he was raised. His father worked for a time in vaudeville, and when he saw the budding talent in his son, the elder Mathis bought an old upright piano for US$25 to encourage his efforts. From his father, Mathis began learning songs and routineshis first song being, "My Blue Heaven."[3] Mathis started out singing and dancing for visitors at home, and later publicly, at school and church events.[4] At thirteen, Mathis was taken to Connie Cox, a San Francisco Bay Area voice teacher, who accepted him as a student in exchange for work he would do around her house.[5] He studied with Cox for six years, learning vocal scales and exercises, voice production, classical and operatic skills. He remains one of the few popular singers who has received years of professional voice training that included opera. At George Washington High School, Mathis was well known not only for his singing abilities, but also as a star athlete. On the track and field team, he was a high jumper and hurdler, and on the basketball team, he earned four athletic letters. In 1954, Mathis enrolled at San Francisco State University on a scholarship with the intention of becoming an English and physical education teacher.[5] Category: Music Tags: Johnny Mathis Warm

RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS: UNCHAINED MELODY: MY VOICE!!!!

03:54
REMEMBER TO COMMENT, LIKE, AND SUBSCRIBE! :) This was not originally done by Righteous Brothers. First recorded by opera singer Todd Duncan on soundtrack for a movie, "Unchained". Lax Baster did instrumental version. Al Hibbler then had #3 billboard hit with it. Roy Hamilton had #6 hit with it. Some say that Hamilton's version is definitive version. It was certainly big influence on Elvis Presley. An extremely influential vocalist despite having a rather short career, Roy Hamilton had both classical training and gospel experience. Hamilton studied commercial art in high school and was a heavyweight Golden Gloves boxer before starting his music career as a member of the Searchlight Singers. During the mid- and late '50s, Hamilton's dramatic, searing voice and treatments of such songs as "You'll Never Walk Alone," "If I Loved You," "Ebb Tide," and "Unchained Melody" were enormously popular. "You'll Never Walk Alone" topped the R&B charts for two months in 1954, while "Unchained Melody" topped the R&B charts for three weeks, and was his only Top Ten pop hit. Jackie Wilson and Roy Brown were among the singers whose sound was affected by Hamilton, while the Righteous Brothers did their own versions of "You'll Never Walk Alone," "Ebb Tide," and "Unchained Melody" (which later got new life via the film Ghost). Hamilton had to retire from 1956 to 1958 due to exhaustion. He suffered a stroke in 1969 and died at age 40. ~ Ron Wynn, Rovi
