Place a slice of cheddar on top of each puff pastry piece. Place a hot dog on the cheddar, then roll it up. Slice each roll into 3 even pieces, and arrange the pieces evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper with a 1-inch gap between the pieces. Bake for 15 minutes, until golden brown and flaky. Serve! Jalapeño Poppers Servings: 8 INGREDIENTS 4 jalapeños 8 slices bacon 8 ounces cream cheese, softened PREPARATION Preheat oven to 400°F/200˚C. Slice the jalapeños in half, then remove the seeds by scraping out the insides. Spread the cream cheese evenly among the jalapeño shells. Wrap each jalapeño in bacon. Place the bacon-wrapped jalapeños on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes, until bacon is browned and peppers are tender. Serve! BBQ Chicken Tenders Servings: 6 INGREDIENTS 1 chicken breast 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs 1 cup bbq sauce PREPARATION Preheat oven to 375°F/190°C. Slice the chicken into even strips. Dip the chicken strips into the BBQ sauce, then coat them in the bread crumbs. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes. Brush the remaining BBQ sauce evenly on both sides of the chicken strips and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve! Mozzarella Sticks Servings: 10 INGREDIENTS 5 egg roll wrappers 10 sticks string cheese Water Oil, for frying Marinara sauce PREPARATION Slice the egg roll wrappers in half. Place a stick of string cheese on the edge of the egg roll wrapper, then fold the sides of the wrapper over the ends of the cheese. Wet the other edge of the wrapper with water, then roll it up tightly, pressing the edge to make sure it’s sealed. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and cheese. Heat oil in a pot. Fry the sticks until golden brown, then drain on a paper towel. Serve with marinara! Top with jam and some crushed peanuts. Banana Bites 1 banana 2 tbsp almond butter 1 whole wheat tortilla Spread almond butter in an even layer on a whole wheat wrap. Be sure to get all the way to the edges. Place a banana at the end of the wrap and roll it up. Use a sharp knife to gently cut the wrap into slices. Cherry Chocolate Trail Mix 1 cup roasted salted almonds ½ cup dried cherries ¼ cup chocolate chips Combine all three ingredients in a bowl and stir. Create individual portions to prevent over indulging. FroYo Bites 1½ cups vanilla yogurt ¼ cup dried cranberries ¼ cup pistachios, shelled and crushed Line a muffin tin with baking cups. Fill each with ¼ cup of yogurt. Top with cranberries and pistachios. Chocolate Hazelnut Energy Bites ¾ cup dates, pitted and soaked ½ cup toasted hazelnuts, shelled and peeled (OR use peanuts) 2 tbsp cocoa powder Combine ingredients in the bowl of your food processor. Blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Roll into balls. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop 6 balls of dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 minutes, then serve! FOR LATER USE 1. To save cookie dough for later use, scoop the dough into balls and place them side-by-side on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. 2. Wrap the tray with cling wrap, then freeze for up to one month. 3. To bake the frozen dough balls, remove desired number from the tray and bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes at 375°F/190°C. Pour the cookies into a plastic bag and smash with a rolling pin until they are crumbs. Combine crumbs and condensed milk in a bowl, mix together and set aside. In a large bowl, whip your heavy cream with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Fold the cookie mix into the whipped cream and transfer to a deep baking dish. Top with additional cookie crumbs (if desired). Freeze for 4 hours. Enjoy! Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fudge Serves 8-10 INGREDIENTS 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 can condensed milk ½ cup peanut butter PREPARATION In a medium bowl, combine chocolate chips and condensed milk. Microwave for 1 minute and mix together until smooth. Lay a piece of parchment paper over a 9 x 9-inch baking dish. Transfer chocolate mix to baking dish, spread evenly. Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Spread peanut butter evenly over the top of the cooled fudge. Refrigerate for 2 additional hours. Enjoy! Chocolate-Strawberry Braid Serves 2 INGREDIENTS 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips 5 strawberries, halved with stems removed PREPARATION Preheat oven to 400ºF/ 200ºC. In a small bowl, melt the chocolate chips. Cut puff pastry in half. Take one half and spread chocolate spread and sliced strawberries on the center third. Cut slits 1 inch apart on either end of the pastry, to within 1/2 inch of the chocolate/strawberry mixture. Starting at one end, fold the pastry strips over the chocolate/strawberry mixture, alternating sides until mixture is completely covered. Repeat for second half of puff pastry. *** Measurements & recipe here~~~http://www.tryanythingonceculinary.com/easy-chocolate-mousse/ *** This easy chocolate mousse recipe caught my eye when I found it on Pinterest so I pinned it to my To Try At Least Once in 2015 board. I've never heard of a chocolate mousse made with chocolate and water so I just had to try it. Even though this isn’t the traditional way to make chocolate mousse, I think this is a really good idea and very creative so I made it and shot some video of the process. I had never made this recipe before making this video. To me, it was easy to make but you can watch this video and see if this is something you would like to try. According to the original recipe, you can add sugar or liquor to the chocolate and water if you want. I've never tried it but I totally would. I think I over-whisked my chocolate mousse, although the texture didn't feel grainy. The mousse was thick and spreadable but looking at the photos in the original recipe post, the top of the mousse looked smooth, almost like it was spooned or poured in and settled. It might take one or two times to achieve your ideal consistency. The original recipe has a tip for you if you happen to over whip yours. One-Pot Swedish Meatball Pasta Servings: 4 INGREDIENTS 1 pound ground beef ½ cup seasoned bread crumbs ½ finely minced onion 1 egg ½ tablespoon salt (for meatballs) ½ tablespoon pepper (for meatballs) 2 tablespoons canola oil 2 cups beef broth 2 cups milk ½ tablespoon salt (for sauce) ½ tablespoon pepper (for sauce) 1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 4 cups egg noodles 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese ½ cup chopped parsley PREPARATION 1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper, mixing until evenly combined. 2. Heat the canola oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Take about a golf ball-size of the meatball mixture and roll it into balls. Place the meatballs into the pot, cooking for one minute. Flip the meatballs. 3. Add the beef broth, milk, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce and give it a stir. 4. Bring the liquid to a boil, then add the egg noodles. 5. Stir constantly until the pasta is cooked and the liquid has reduced to a sauce that coats the noodles, about seven to eight minutes. 6. Add the parmesan and the parsley, stirring until the cheese is melted. 7. Enjoy! One-Pot Pasta Primavera Servings: 4 INGREDIENTS 4 cups broth of your choice 10 ounces uncooked linguine 10 ounces broccoli florets 1 pound asparagus, chopped into 1-inch pieces 1 small onion, diced 4 cloves garlic, minced ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste 1 teaspoon olive oil 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced ¼ cup heavy whipping cream ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated 3 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped PREPARATION 1. In a pot over high heat, combine broth, linguine, broccoli, asparagus, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Stir. 2. Add the mushrooms and bring to a boil. 3. Once at a boil, reduce heat to medium and cook the pasta for 10 minutes, continuously tossing with tongs. 4. Add the heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and parsley, and toss for an additional 3 minutes. 5. If the liquid hasn’t been completely absorbed, let the pasta sit off the heat for an additional few minutes. 6. Enjoy! One-Pot Cheesy Taco Pasta Servings: 10-12 INGREDIENTS 1 pound ground beef 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes 1 (15 oz) can whole kernel corn 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce 2 cups water 1 package taco seasoning Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni 1 ½ cups colby jack cheese PREPARATION 1. In a large quart pot over medium-high heat brown the ground beef. Drain fat and return beef to the pot. 2. Add taco seasoning, water, diced tomatoes, corn and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil. 3. Add uncooked macaroni and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes (until pasta is cooked through). Stir occasionally. 4. Remove from heat. Sprinkle cheese on top and cover. 5. Serve once cheese is melted! Enjoy! One-Pot Chicken Fajita Pasta Servings: 3-5 INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoons oil 3 chicken breasts, sliced 1 red bell pepper, sliced 1 green bell pepper, sliced 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced 1 onion, sliced 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 tablespoon cumin 1 tablespoon garlic powder 5 cups milk 4 cups penne pasta 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded PREPARATION 1. Heat oil in a large pot over high heat. 2. Add chicken and cook until no pink is visible, then take the chicken out. 3. Add the bell peppers and onion, cooking until the onion is translucent. 4. Add the chicken back to the pot with salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder, stirring until evenly coated. 5. Add the milk and the penne, stirring constantly to prevent any pasta from sticking. 6. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until pasta is cooked and the milk has reduced to a thick sauce that coats the pasta. 7. Add the cheese and mix until melted. 8. Enjoy! One-Pot Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta Servings: 4 INGREDIENTS 8 ounces linguine 2 tablespoons olive oil 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1 ¼ pounds large shrimp Salt, to taste Pepper, to taste 1 teaspoon dried oregano 4 cups b

These biscuits will make a novice look like a chef they are so easy. With only 2 ingredients, you will not go wrong. It will take away the "fear" of making biscuits and they're delicious. The biscuits I made were huge and made 8. If you make a "regular" sized biscuit you will have 12. The flour in both bowls is a SELF RISING flour. Here is what you'll need! 4 EASY 3-INGREDIENT NO-BAKE DESSERTS PEANUT BUTTER CUPS Serves 6 INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, sifted 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter 1 cup melted chocolate PREPARATION 1. Prepare a cupcake tin with 6 liners. 2. Stir peanut butter and powdered sugar together until smooth. 3. Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of chocolate in the bottom of each cupcake liner. 4. Dollop 1 to 2 teaspoons of the peanut butter mixture on top of the chocolate. 5. Cover each dollop of peanut butter with more chocolate and smooth out the top. 6. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until chocolate has hardened. 7. Remove peanut butter cups from the liners. 8. Enjoy! STRAWBERRY ICEBOX CAKE Serves 9 INGREDIENTS 5 cups sweetened whipped cream 11-12 large rectangular graham crackers 3 cups strawberries, chopped PREPARATION 1. Spread a thin layer of whipped cream in a square glass baking dish. 2. Layer graham crackers on top, then cover with a layer of whipped cream. 3. Sprinkle ⅓ of the strawberries on top, then layer with cream again. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until no more ingredients remain. (The top layer should be strawberries and should not be covered with cream.) 5. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. 6. Enjoy! CHOCOLATE CEREAL TREATS Serves 9 INGREDIENTS 1 cup candy coated chocolate 2 ½ cups marshmallows 3 cups puffed rice cereal PREPARATION 1. Prepare a square glass baking dish with cooking spray. 2. Melt marshmallows over medium heat in a nonstick pan. Stir every 30 seconds to avoid burning. (TIP! spray your spatula with nonstick cooking spray to make stirring easier.) 3. Once the marshmallows are melted, add in the rice cereal and chocolates. 4. Stir until fully combined. 5. Scoop the mixture into the sprayed baking dish and flatten with a spatula. 6. Cool for 30 minutes, then cut into squares. 7. Enjoy! COOKIES & ICE CREAM PIE Serves 8-10 INGREDIENTS 20 chocolate cookies 1 cup melted chocolate 1.75 quarts ice cream, softened PREPARATION 1. Place cookies in a gallon sized plastic bag and hit with a rolling pin or pan until crushed. 2. Pat the cookie crumbs into the bottom of a 9” pie dish. 3. Spread the softened ice cream on top and smooth out. 4. Drizzle the top with melted chocolate. 5. Freeze for 4 hours, or until the ice cream is hardened. 6. Enjoy!
