Today we'll learn to cook with Sonia the braised beef with Barolo wine, a succulent main course with a rich and aromatic flavour. Find this and many more recipes on the Giallozafferano App in English http://itunes.apple.com/app/giallozafferano-recipes/id384387249?mt=8 +++ Where is it... here! This is exactly what I need to prepare an excellent braised beef with Barolo wine... let's go! Time and patience will be essential, but they'll pay off in the end when you taste this succulent main course. Let's see together what ingredients we'll need: • 2,2 lbs (1 kg) or more of priest's hat or chuck steak • 1 clove of garlic • 2 bay leaves • 1 branch of ròsemary • Salt / a small piece of cinnamon • 3 cloves • Peppercorns / 1 onion • 2 stalks of celery / 2 carrots • Less than 3 tbsp (40 g) of butter • 3-4 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil • 1 bottle of Barolo or red full-bodied wine Let's make it together: Begin by washing and roughly chopping the vegetables, peel the garlic and put the piece of meat into a glass bowl: it should be narrow and tall since the meat will be covered with wine. Add the vegetables... and the garlic... the bay leaves and the rosemary... and the spices. Now cover everything with the wine and let it màrinate in the fridge for at least 12 hours covered with cling film. 12 hrs -- fridge After marinating all night, here is our piece of meat. Dab it with a clean cloth or some kitchen paper, then start cooking. Here we're using a traditional kitchen, but of course you can cook in your own. Put the oil and the butter in a pot and brown the meat on each side. It's time to add the vegetables to the meat: I heated the marinading mixture with the microwave, but you can simply take it out from the fridge an hour before using, in this way we won't stop the cooking process of the meat by adding cold ingredients. So add the vegetables... and let them brown for 10 minutes or more, until tender. Now it's time to add salt... stir a little bit... and add the wine used for marinating. Let the meat cook, or better simmer, for at least 2 hours on a very low flame, with a lid on. 2 hrs -- low flame After the braised beef has finished cooking, place it on a dish and cover to keep it warm. Then pour the cooking sauce into a bowl and whiz it up with an immersion blender to make the sauce for the beef. Now slice the meat, coat with the sauce and enjoy your excellent braised beef with Barolo wine! From Sonia and GialloZafferano, bye and see you next videorecipe.

This four cheese sauce with pasta quills makes a very tasty and substantial first course, that you can personalize with your favourite types of cheese. Find this and many more recipes on the Giallozafferano App in English http://itunes.apple.com/app/giallozafferano-recipes/id384387249?mt=8 *** Hi everyone and welcome to our GialloZafferano kitchen: today we'll be preparing together the pasta quills with four cheeses: it's a very substantial and tasty dish made with different cheeses, ideal for the dairy product lovers. But let's see together what ingredients we'll need: • 2,8 oz (80 g) of Emmenthal or Gruyère cheese • 2,8 oz (80 g) of soft Taleggio cheese • 3,5 oz (100 g) of sweet blue cheese • ¼ cup (50 ml) of heavy cream • 1/3 cup (80 g) of grated Parmesan cheese • White pepper / salt • Just under 1 cup (200 ml) of whole milk • 14 oz (400 g) of ridged pasta quills So let's prepare our pasta quills with four cheeses: First, remove the rinds from the cheeses, dice the soft ones and grate the harder ones. Now pour the milk and the heavy cream in a small saucepan and add all the cheeses, which should melt on a very low flame or, if you prefer, in a bain-marie. In the meanwhile you can put a pot of salted water to a boil and boil the pasta quills. Here we are, as you can see our cheeses have melted, so pour them immediately into a wide saucepan... add a pinch of ground white pepper... and once the pasta is al dente, drain it and sauté it in the saucepan for a few moments. In this recipe I've used almost 1 cup of whole milk and ¼ of a cup of heavy cream, but if you want to make your pasta even more tasty, yet high calorie as well, you can add 1 whole cup of heavy cream, and avoid the milk. Now sauté everything, after that our pasta is ready. Our pasta quills with 4 cheeses is ready, remember to serve it immediately otherwise the sauce will dry out. Another advice is to add, or substitute, one or more cheeses as you prefer. From Sonia and GialloZafferano, bye and see you next video recipe!

SALE TODAY: Learn Piano on iOS http://bit.ly/PianoAppSale http://www.mahalo.com/best-thanksgiving-turkey-recipes If you're planning on serving a huge Thanksgiving holiday meal, there's a good chance that turkey will be on the menu. Turkey is often the main course at many Thanksgiving dinner tables. Some of the best Thanksgiving turkey recipes can be prepared in a variety of different ways using a myriad of flavors. Thanksgiving turkeys can be baked, roasted, fried, smoked or even cooked using a rotisserie. Turkeys can be stuffed with dressing or cooked alone, without the side dish. In addition, fruit and vegetables can be used to flavor the meat. Recipes for Thanksgiving turkey may be among the best if they're used frequently, provide easy to follow steps or instructions and use easily attainable ingredients. You don't want to spend hours tracking down obscure ingredients, because preparing and cooking the turkey can take a great deal of time. Depending on the size of your turkey and the cooking method, it can take anywhere from one to six hours to cook the bird. If you've purchased a frozen turkey, you'll need to be sure it is properly thawed before you begin the cooking process. You can thaw the frozen bird in the refrigerator - this technique typically requires about five hours of thawing time per pound. You can also place the frozen turkey in cold water to thaw. This process takes approximately 1/2 hour per pound. Here are some additional tips for making a great holiday turkey: Try not to overstuff your turkey. Make sure you fill the turkey's cavity loosely with stuffing - or you can always cook the actual dressing separately. Coat your soon-to-be roasting turkey with oil or butter (vegetable or olive oil) to keep it from over-browning. When you remove the turkey from the oven, "tent" it with foil and leave the bird alone for approximately 15 minutes before you carve it. With regard to recipes, you have tons of options to make your Thanksgiving turkey a savory treat for guests. You can make a delicious sausage, apple and cranberry stuffing to compliment the bird. You can also use a variety of different kinds of herbs and spices to use as a rub to add flavor to the turkey, including rosemary, thyme and garlic. If rubs aren't your thing, consider making an herb stuffing for roast turkey - some herb stuffings can be purchased pre-packaged, others you have to make from scratch.
