Power Pressure Cooker XL - Step by step instructions
Step by step instructions on how to use the Power Pressure Cooker XL. For more recipes and instructional videos check out: http://www.erictheiss.com or http://www.powerpressurecooker.com/ Click link to watch how to make braised chicken in the PPXL http://youtu.be/s8ZolY0uPqM Carbonara in the PPXL: http://youtu.be/XzSmlnWCdw0 Pasta & Clams: https://youtu.be/lNdrbpYnfKQ Power Pressure Cooker Pot Roast 2 TBS olive oil 3.5 lbs of chuck roast 1.5 cups wild mushrooms sliced 1.5 cups large chopped potatoes 1.5 cup carrots, large chopped 1.5 cup onions, chopped 1 cup celery, chopped 1 TBS soy sauce 1 TBS steak sauce 1TBS Worcestershire sauce 2 TBS apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup tomato paste 1/3 cup dry red wine 2 TBS garlic, chopped finely 1 TBS tomato paste 1/2 tsp cumin 1 tsp thyme 1/2 tsp rosemary 1/2 tsp dry mustard powder 1/2 tsp coarse ground pepper 1 TBS butter (optional) 1/8 cup heavy cream (optional) 1 tsp orange rind (optional) 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional) Salt to taste Instructions using Power Pressure Cooker XL: 1. Take lid off the pressure cooker and plug it in. 2. Press the chicken/meat button once and press the cook time selector once which puts the cooker at 40 minutes. 3. The screen will go from all zero’s to flashing lights. The flashing lights mean it is now in browning/heat up mode. Let it heat up for about a couple of minutes, then add 2 TBS olive oil. 4. Generously salt and pepper the meat and place it into the hot oil to sear. Sear all sides for a few minutes until nicely browned. Set the meat aside. 5. Add the wine first, then the onion, celery, carrots and garlic. Let simmer for a couple of minutes. 6. Put the meat back in and add all remaining ingredients. 7. Put the lid on, making sure it is on fully and that the vent is on “pressure” and not “steam.” 8. Now you get to relax while the Power Pressure Cooker builds pressure and starts counting down once it is fully up to pressure. 9. Your pressure cooker will automatically turn to a warming mode when the timer is finished counting down. Now you can release the pressure by turning the valve to the “steam” icon. The pressure will release rapidly and in a minute or two, the lid will be able to be opened. 10. Optional section: I like to reduce the sauce for a more concentrated flavor but you certainly don’t have to! Stir in the butter and cream then some orange rind. Throw some parsley in at the very last minute. You can add a slurry if you want a thicker sauce as well. All totally optional.

Pressure Cooker | Short Film | Shortlist JioFilmFare 2018 | Pallavi Joshi | By Heena Dsouza
Vote for us @ https://www.filmfare.com/awards/short-films-2018/finalists/pressure-cooker/3025 In the India of 1990's, which hadn't yet opened up to the glitter of free market and unimaginable choices, monotony had a flavour attached to it, which was crafted with utmost care and attention over the years. What happens when a lonely home maker from middle class Mumbai starts getting a taste of novelty, through a metaphorical new automatic pressure cooker and the attraction from a younger man. Will she be able to allow new commodities to enter the floodgates of her world? Pressure Cooker is an effort to look at the changing modernising worlds of commodity and sexuality in an era where change of anything, especially of a kitchen appliance was a deeply emotional issue, from the eyes of a middle aged Mumbai woman. How does a Pressure Cooker Work? | Mocomi Kids
http://mocomi.com/ presents: How does a pressure cooker work? The laws of Physics apply to our everyday activities, even cooking food. Watch this animated video explaining how a pressure cooker works to cook our food faster. Steam and Pressure are 2 very important things happening inside the chamber of a pressure cooker. A pressure cooker is made up of a pot, a lid which fits precisely on the pot with a locking mechanism; a rubber ring that goes between the lid and the pot so that no air can escape; a valve on top of the lid with a release whistle There are 2 extremely important parts in all pressure cookers. The rubber ring that goes between the pot and the lid ensures that no air escapes from inside the container; if it did then the pressure would not be able to build up. The valve on the top is a safety measure that makes sure the pressure does not build up to dangerous levels inside the pot. This could lead to a potentially dangerous explosion. It is designed to allow some of the steam to escape after the pressure inside reaches a certain point. And with that startling whistle we know how much the food has been cooked. Pressure Cookers: "Food For Thought" ~ 1949 Pressure Cooking Institute; Spring Byington

The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pressure_cooking Pressure cooking is the process of cooking food, using water or other cooking liquid, in a sealed vessel, known as a pressure cooker. As pressure cooking cooks food faster than conventional cooking methods, it saves energy. Pressure is created by boiling a liquid, such as water or broth, inside the closed pressure cooker. The trapped steam increases the internal pressure and allows the temperature to rise. After use, the pressure is slowly released so that the vessel can be safely opened. Pressure cooking can be used for quick simulation of the effects of long braising. Almost any food which can be cooked in steam or water-based liquids can be cooked in a pressure cooker... History In 1679, the French physicist Denis Papin, better known for his studies on steam, invented the steam digester in an attempt to reduce the cooking time of food. His airtight cooker used steam pressure to raise the water's boiling point, thus cooking food much more quickly. In 1681, Papin presented his invention to the Royal Society of London, but the Society's members treated his invention as a scientific study. They granted him permission to become a member of the Society afterwards. In 1864, Georg Gutbrod of Stuttgart began manufacturing pressure cookers made of tinned cast iron. In 1918, Spain granted a patent for the pressure cooker to Jose Alix Martínez from Zaragoza. Martínez named it the olla exprés, literally "express cooking pot", under patent number 71143 in the Boletín Oficial de la Propiedad Industrial. In 1924, the first pressure cooking pot recipe book was published, written by José Alix and titled "360 fórmulas de cocina Para guisar con la 'olla expres'", or 360 recipes for cooking with a pressure cooker. In 1938, Alfred Vischer presented his invention, the Flex-Seal Speed Cooker, in New York City. Vischer's pressure cooker was the first one designed for home use, and its success led to competition among American and European manufacturers.[3] At the 1939 New York World's Fair, National Presto Industries, which was then known as the "National Pressure Cooker Company", introduced its own pressure cooker. Variants An autoclave is a type of pressure cooker used by laboratories and hospitals to sterilize equipment. In the food industry, pressure cookers are often referred to as retorts or canning retorts. Large pressure cookers are often called pressure canners in the United States, because of their capacity to hold jars used in canning. Pressure canners are specifically designed for home canning, whereas ordinary pressure cookers are not recommended for canning due to the risk of botulism poisoning, because pressure canners hold heat and pressure for much longer than ordinary pressure cookers; these factors are a critical part of the total processing time required to destroy harmful microbes. Pressure fryers are used for deep fat frying under pressure, because ordinary pressure cookers are not suitable for pressure frying... Pressure cookers are typically made of aluminum (aluminium) or stainless steel. Aluminum pressure cookers may be stamped, polished, or anodized, but all are unsuitable for the dishwasher. They are cheaper, but the aluminum is reactive to acidic foods, whose flavors are changed in the reactions, and less durable than stainless steel pressure cookers. Higher-quality stainless steel pressure cookers are made with heavy, three-layer, or copper-clad bottoms (heat spreader) for uniform heating because stainless steel has lower thermal conductivity.

How to Use a Pressure Cooker
David's Recipes - Pressure Cooker 101. Have questions about using a pressure cooker? Curious about how a pressure cooker works? David Venable shows you how to use a pressure cooker, while giving you his recipe for Pressure Cooker Beef and Rice. Shop Pressure Cookers: http://qvc.co/ShopPressureCookers Probably the number one reason that people don't pressure cook is because they're afraid of pressure cookers. But today's electric, digital pressure cookers, are nothing like the pressure cookers that our moms and grandmothers used. The new digital electric models are super safe. Loaded with safety back-ups, they're incredibly easy to clean and they don't make a mess in your kitchen. So, how does a pressure cooker work? It's really quite simple. It allows steam to build up inside the pressure cooker, and cook the food more quickly. It also takes all the spices and all the ingredients you put inside and force it into the food, so every single bite is not only fork tender, but also incredibly flavorful. Now today, we're going to be making my pressure cooker beef and rice. And this recipe can be found under David's Recipes on QVC.com. What we're first going to do is set the browning feature. What's important to know about a pressure cooker is that this works and behaves just like a skillet before it turns into a pressure cooker. I can actually brown the stewing beef. One of the nice things about using a pressure cooker is that you can use a lesser cut of meat. Now my recipe calls for stewing beef and if you prepare this traditionally, it can be really tough and stringy, but when you cook it under pressure, it becomes fork tender and really flavorful. While it's important to add some water to a pressure cooker, you don't have to add a lot of water because remember that the foods that you're cooking will release some of their own natural juices. But it is always a good idea to add liquid like a zesty tomato juice. If your recipe calls for vegetables in the pressure cooker, remember that vegetables do not need to cook very long and some don't belong in the pressure cooker at all. Softer vegetables like asparagus and green beans should never go in the pressure cooker because they'll only turn to mush. The rest of your vegetables should only be cooked a few minutes. Probably no more than fifteen minutes maximum. Now if you don't have fresh vegetables on hand, you can use frozen. It's important to remember if you're using the frozen, you need to allow a little extra cooking time and add a little less liquid because those frozen vegetables will give off more water. Let's talk more about safety. These digital, electric pressure cookers have many back-up safety features. In fact, there's no way to open this lid until I release the pressure. That process is very easily done, just by flipping one switch. The next step is to cook the rice. And rice will cook incredibly fast in the pressure cooker and we're going to use left-over liquids to make sure that it cooks beautifully and that it absorbs all that flavor. Another good idea, is to add a little cooking oil. This also will help keep that starch down and make sure that the rice doesn't foam. The best thing to remember while cooking rice is the ratio, one cup of rice to one and a quarter cup of water. It's also important to remember that when you are finished with the cooking cycles, let the pressure cooker release naturally so you don't get any foaming in the valves and it all comes out beautifully and clean. So, with a little pre-planning and prep work, you'll be safely pressure cooking in no time. And once you learn these simple tricks, your food will come out quickly and the flavor will be fantastic.

Power Pressure Cooker XL Review
Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Power Pressure Cooker XL 6 Quart. LINK TO Power Pressure Cooker XL: http://amzn.to/2sfRUGB The unit is 13 inches tall, 13 inches wide and 11.5 inches deep. The cord is 35 inches long and using an extension cord is not recommended. This is the lid with a pressure seal and vent valve. For safety, there won’t be pressure build up if the lid is not closed correctly. Also, the lid can only be opened when all pressure is released. There is a rubber gasket under the lid. Turn to open the lid. The inner pot is nonstick and has a max line. Don’t fill above it. It holds 6 quarts and has markings. Also, if you’re cooking rice or beans, don’t fill more than halfway since they’ll expand during cooking. The stainless steel base has a control panel with seven modes of cooking. The different modes are listed in the manual with their cook times. All seven modes have a default time. You can press the cook time selector button and choose medium or well for longer cooking times. So if you’re cooking a stew, the default setting is 10 minutes. You can change to medium which is 30 minutes or high which is 60 minutes. When you’re making rice, us the selector to choose white, brown or wild rice. The time adjustment is what you use to set a specific time for cooking with any mode. The manual has a cooking chart for meat and vegetables and the amount of liquid to use. You can also cook frozen foods in this unit without defrosting, just add 10 minutes extra for meat. Included is a measuring cup, ladle, steamer tray and condensation collector. The collector goes on the back of the cooker. Empty this after each use. There is an instruction manual, recipe book with recipes for meat, soups and stews, rice and desserts. A canning manual with recipes is also included. When you first get the unit, wash the pot, lid and gasket (pull it out of the lid) with warm soapy water and dry. Put the pot in the base, fill ⅔ full with water. Put the gasket in the lid, put the lid on and turn until you hear a click. Rotate the pressure valve to the lock position. Attach plug to the cooker and then plug into a wall outlet. Press Canning mode and set for 10 minutes. When the cycle is finished, using tongs, rotate the pressure valve to the open position. This allows the pressure to release quickly. Open the lid holding onto the black handle. The steel parts are hot. Let the unit cool to room temperature and discard the water. Rinse the pot and dry it. Now you can start cooking with this unit. You saw how this pressure cooker xl performed. If you want to give this pressure cooker a try, I’ve put a link in the description below. You can use the unit to sautee onions and brown meat before you make a stew. The lamb was moist and absorbed all the flavors in the gravy. The rice was cooked perfectly at about the same or faster than some rice cookers. There was no issue with the unit coming up to pressure and releasing it. I hope you found this review useful. Share this video and subscribe for reviews of products you use every day. Thanks for watching. I’ll see you next time :)

How to Cook Ribs in a Pressure Cooker - The Basics on QVC
Ribs in a pressure cooker! Blue Jean Chef Meredith Laurence teaches you how to make ribs in a pressure cooker. Full pressure cooker ribs recipe below: For more of The Basics: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-MJ2niVMKcjwtg_OcQqdYLFDCJsxMcfn Follow Blue Jean Chef on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bluejeanchef Dry-Rubbed Baby Back Ribs with BBQ Sauce Serves 2 Ingredients: 2 teaspoons smoked paprika 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder 2 teaspoons dried oregano 2 teaspoons dried thyme 1 teaspoon chili powder 2 teaspoons salt 1½ pounds baby back ribs (about 1 rack), cut into 3-rib sections 1 to 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil ½ onion, chopped 1 bay leaf Sauce: 1 cup beef stock 1 cup tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons molasses 1 tablespoon cider vinegar 1 tablespoon tomato paste ½ teaspoon soy sauce Directions: 1. Combine the first 6 ingredients to make the dry rub spice blend, and rub the spice blend all over the rib sections. 2. Pre-heat the pressure cooker using the BROWN setting. 3. Add the oil to the cooker and brown the ribs in batches. (Alternately, you can do this in a pan on the stovetop.) Remove the ribs and set aside. Add the onion and bay leaf to the cooker and sauté until the onion starts to soften slightly – about 5 minutes. Pour in the beef stock and place a rack in the bottom of the cooker. Place the browned ribs on the rack, and lock the lid in place. It’s ok to pile the ribs on top of each other in an uneven manner, or to place the ribs in standing up vertically. 4. Pressure cook on HIGH for 30 to 40 minutes. 5. While the ribs are cooking, combine the ketchup, molasses, cider vinegar, tomato paste and soy sauce in a small bowl. 6. Let the pressure drop NATURALLY and carefully remove the lid. Remove the ribs and let them rest on a side plate. While the ribs are resting, pour the ketchup mixture into the cooker with the cooking liquid and return the cooker to the BROWN setting. Simmer the sauce ingredients for about 5 minutes and then return the ribs to the sauce to coat and serve.

Ramen Noodle Soup in the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker
So a couple years ago my sister introduced me to the instant pot - if you are not familiar it is an electric pressure cooker. I have been hooked ever since. I love how quick and easy it makes weeknight cooking. Today I am making a quick version of ramen using the instant pot. This recipe is inspired by this amazing ramen I had in Japan. Since I sadly have no plans to make it back to Japan, this ramen is going to have to hold me over until I get there. ************************************************************ Instant Pot Ramen 1lb bone in, skin on chicken breasts.  salt and peper  1 Tbs. toasted sesame oil 1 Tbs. fresh ginger, grated 2 cloves garlic, minced 4 cups chicken stock 3 Tbs. low-sodium soy sauce, plus more for serving 2 Tbs. rice wine vinegar  2 packages ramen noodles  Serve with soft boiled eggs, sauted mushrooms, cilantro, scallions, sesame seeds and favorite hot sauce.  Set the Instant Pot to saute. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and pepper. Add the sesame oil to the Instant Pot followed by the chicken breasts skin side down. Allow the chicken breast to brown for about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.  Still on the saute setting, add the garlic and ginger. Cook for about 30 seconds. Deglaze the pan with the chicken stock. Add the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar.  Place the lid back on the Instant Pot and set the timer to manual for 20 minutes. Make sure the valve is placed in the sealed position.  Let the Instant Pot come to pressure for about 10 minutes naturally before trying to remove the lid. Remove the chicken and place in a bowl. Shred the chicken into bite sized pieces.  Add the ramen noodles to the Instant Pot and let them soften in the broth.  Assemble the ramen by laddling a large portion of broth into a bowl. Top with chicken and noodles, followed by your favorite toppings, such as soft boiled eggs, sauted mushrooms, cilantro, scallions, sesame seeds and hot sauce.  Taste for salt and add more soy sauce if needed, then serve immediately.  Makes about 4 servings.  ****************************************************************** Some of my favorite kitchen tools: Instant Pot: http://amzn.to/2uepz8Q Stand Mixer: http://amzn.to/2wh9ZFb Kitchen Scale: http://amzn.to/2jdu5iE Dutch Oven: http://amzn.to/2gSQdu3 Meat Thermometer: http://amzn.to/2vWLySa Chef's Knife: http://amzn.to/2wRb3mJ Apron: http://amzn.to/2wRfa25 SUBSCRIBE for more great recipes! http://bit.ly/2dZcaoZ **************************************************** ABOUT THIS CHANNEL: Amanda Frederickson is a professional cook and food stylist. Pressure Cooker Basics - Red Beans 'n' Rice!
Furthering the experiment of cooking beans in the pressure cooker, this time I'm doing old fashioned Red Beans 'n' Rice. With a total cook time of 45 minutes, they turned out every bit as good as if I'd cooked them normally for 3 hours or so! I'm impressed with what the pressure cooker does with them, and this is definitely how I'll be doing them from now on. It also gives the advantage that I'll be able to do them more often, because they're no longer an all day project! I also ran through the assembly of the corn bread recipe I stole from Hilah Johnson years ago. It IS, in my opinion, the best cornbread recipe I've tried yet! Her channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/hilahcooking Her video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyOkyUUdOQQ And her blog post with the printable recipe: http://hilahcooking.com/how-to-make-cornbread/ Music provided by Kevin McLeod - http://incompetech.com Title: Hot Swing Licensed under Creative Commons Thanks as always, Kevin!

Power Pressure Cooker XL Paid Program
"Why use a pressure cooker? Tune in to discover how you can create succulent, wholesome meals with just one touch of a button, 70% faster than your traditional oven!" That's how the TV Listings app describes this thing. So here we see Oil Man using a pressure cooker instead of a pan. I also apologize in advance (If you're reading the description first, that is) for the idiot they used in this one, I don't know, they got some idiot who's bad at exaggerating and can't act very well. Look, all I do is check the TV Listings app for when these things are going to come on, and when they do, I record them. There were actually two paid programs on this product, and the other one which isn't this one had the other woman that Oil Man likes to do these with. I'm not going to be able to upload that one because that one is outdated, and this is the one they are showing instead. I wasn't able to get to the other one quickly enough, and of course, now that it's outdated, It's not happening. Fortunately, someone on You(Tube) got to it and posted it on their channel. So go check that out (https://www.youtube.com/shared?ci=XapHvqfkpwk). In the meantime, we're stuck with this idiot who doesn't deserve to have her name on the toilet, let alone this program.

Carbonara in the Power Pressure Cooker XL - Step By Step Instructions
Go to http://www.erictheiss.com or http://www.powerpressurecooker.com/ for more recipes and information. More Recipes in the PPXL : Braised Chicken: http://youtu.be/s8ZolY0uPqM Pot Roast: http://youtu.be/UsYE9e4nQLs Rotini Carbonara Ingredients ½ lb. bacon or speck (cut in ½-inch pieces 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tbsp. olive oil 1 lb. rotini (or penne) 4 cups water 2 cups Parmesan, grated (plus extra for garnish) 3 eggs plus 4 yolks 1 tbsp. fresh crushed black pepper Salt and pepper to taste ½ cup chopped parsley for garnish Directions 1. Place the inner pot in the pressure cooker and add bacon. Press the RICE/RISOTTO button until it reads 10 min. 2. Sauté bacon until almost crispy (you will need to drain the fat halfway through to achieve crispiness). Once bacon is cooked, then add garlic. Stir. Cook for 1 minute more, then remove bacon and fat and set aside. 3. Add olive oil to the inner pot. Add the pasta and stir for one minute. Add the water. You want to make sure the water just covers the pasta so it’s ok to add a bit more water to achieve this. Push down on the pasta to make sure each pc is covered with the liquid. 4. Place the lid on the pressure cooker and lock. Switch the pressure release valve to the CLOSED. 5. While the pasta is cooking, whisk the eggs in a bowl until beaten. Add the Parmesan and incorporate well with the whisk. Add crushed pepper. 6. Once the timer reaches 0, switch the pressure release valve to OPEN. Once the steam has been released, open the lid. 7. Stir the pasta, and then fold in the bacon/garlic mixture. Next, fold in the egg mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste and garnish with fresh parsley. 8. Serve immediately. Eric’s tip: 10 minutes will get you pasta that is cooked through. As with any cooking method, you may want to adjust down a minute for a more al dente texture. Eric’s tip: Adding some water to your egg and cheese mixture is fine if the mixture is very thick. It shouldn’t be a paste, rather a very thick sauce. Normally I would add about a ¼ cup of pasta water but when pressure cooking the pasta you typically don’t have any extra.
