http://www.talithakoumsociety.org/ The Talitha Koum Society accepts women who would be rejected by other halfway houses on the basis of their being "too difficult to handle". The women who go through our program have a success rate of over 45% one year after graduation. This is Talitha Koum, started and staffed by women who have been in the same situation or worse than the women we take into our houses. Come be a part of what we're doing.

Through My Fathers Eyes - "Talitha cumi" Repost 10/13/2017

We are precious in His sight. He truly cares for us. Church denominations constantly battle gender roles and the end result has always equaled confusion. I believe that God is a God of order, however, I think that the word of God has been twisted based on certain biases. God made man and He then made woman but He never stated that we are to be treated less. WOMEN......it is not true, stop believing the lies. Ask God to mend your heart and to show you the women of God that He sees, allow Him to show you through His eyes...YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! Mark 5:35-42 35 While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue ruler's house saying, "Your daughter has died. Why trouble the teacher any longer?" 36 But Jesus, paying no attention to what was said, told the synagogue ruler, "Do not be afraid; just believe." 37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. 38 They came to the house of the synagogue ruler where he saw noisy confusion and people weeping and wailing loudly. 39 When he entered he said to them, "Why are you distressed and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep." 40 And they began making fun of him. But he put them all outside and he took the child's father and mother and his own companions and went into the room where the child was. 41 Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her, "Talitha koum," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, get up." 42 The girl got up at once and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). They were completely astonished at this.

(Arise, arise, arise, arise) Still joy is coming (The morning has come) In the morning (The light, the light in the sky) In the morning, the morning light, oh yeah Here is a message to every woman who is at her wits end Who can say you won’t be back when they don’t even know where you been? There is a strength in your bones, way down in the fibers of your soul Stretch your hands toward heaven and your forces will unfold Good morning to my sister! Strong Nubian princess! This is your wake up call! Come out of your trenches! To the European woman and the lady from the Orient! I’ve got a message for ya’ girl! This is the Master The Master’s message that He sent He told me to tell you - (Talitha, talitha, talitha cumi) Talitha (Talitha, talitha, talitha cumi) Cumi Sing thou barren woman, thou that did’st not conceive (Talitha, talitha, talitha cumi) (Talitha, talitha, talitha cumi) God is going to do more that you ever could believe (Damsel arise, arise, arise, arise) Get up! 13th Sunday of Ordinary Time – Gospel Mark 5:21–43 – JMT Gospel Reflection

02:21
13th Sunday of Ordinary Time – Gospel Mark 5:21–43 Little girl, I say to you, arise! When Jesus had crossed again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he stayed close to the sea. One of the synagogue officials, named Jairus, came forward. Seeing him he fell at his feet and pleaded earnestly with him, saying, “My daughter is at the point of death. Please, come lay your hands on her that she may get well and live.” He went off with him, and a large crowd followed him and pressed upon him. There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for twelve years. She had suffered greatly at the hands of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet she was not helped but only grew worse. She had heard about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak. She said, “If I but touch his clothes, I shall be cured.” Immediately her flow of blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. Jesus, aware at once that power had gone out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who has touched my clothes?” But his disciples said to Jesus, “You see how the crowd is pressing upon you, and yet you ask, ‘Who touched me?’” And he looked around to see who had done it. The woman, realizing what had happened to her, approached in fear and trembling. She fell down before Jesus and told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.” While he was still speaking, people from the synagogue official’s house arrived and said, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the teacher any longer?” Disregarding the message that was reported, Jesus said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” He did not allow anyone to accompany him inside except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. When they arrived at the house of the synagogue official, he caught sight of a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly. So he went in and said to them, “Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.” And they ridiculed him. Then he put them all out. He took along the child’s father and mother and those who were with him and entered the room where the child was. He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. At that they were utterly astounded. He gave strict orders that no one should know this and said that she should be given something to eat. Mark 5:21-45 | Keegan Osinski | Episode 103

36:16
Mark 5:21-43 (CEB) Jesus crossed the lake again, and on the other side a large crowd gathered around him on the shore. Jairus, one of the synagogue leaders, came forward. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet and pleaded with him, “My daughter is about to die. Please, come and place your hands on her so that she can be healed and live.” So Jesus went with him. A swarm of people were following Jesus, crowding in on him. A woman was there who had been bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a lot under the care of many doctors, and had spent everything she had without getting any better. In fact, she had gotten worse. Because she had heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his clothes. She was thinking, If I can just touch his clothes, I’ll be healed. Her bleeding stopped immediately, and she sensed in her body that her illness had been healed. At that very moment, Jesus recognized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched my clothes?” His disciples said to him, “Don’t you see the crowd pressing against you? Yet you ask, ‘Who touched me?’” But Jesus looked around carefully to see who had done it. The woman, full of fear and trembling, came forward. Knowing what had happened to her, she fell down in front of Jesus and told him the whole truth. He responded, “Daughter, your faith has healed you; go in peace, healed from your disease.” While Jesus was still speaking with her, messengers came from the synagogue leader’s house, saying to Jairus, “Your daughter has died. Why bother the teacher any longer?” But Jesus overheard their report and said to the synagogue leader, “Don’t be afraid; just keep trusting.” He didn’t allow anyone to follow him except Peter, James, and John, James’ brother. They came to the synagogue leader’s house, and he saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “What’s all this commotion and crying about? The child isn’t dead. She’s only sleeping.” They laughed at him, but he threw them all out. Then, taking the child’s parents and his disciples with him, he went to the room where the child was. Taking her hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Young woman, get up.” Suddenly the young woman got up and began to walk around. She was 12 years old. They were shocked! He gave them strict orders that no one should know what had happened. Then he told them to give her something to eat.

Talitha Cumi - Zimbabwe

02:41
On an outreach mission in Gokwe, Zimbabwe, a rural Zambezi ‘bush’ area, Kids for the Kingdom's indigenous teams found dozens of women who were poor, destitute, and hopeless. The women had an idea about how they could help themselves, but no one to help them get started. In 2012 Kids for the Kingdom began a sewing and tailoring program with the women. The ladies then decided to name their new vocational training program 'Talitha Cumi' which is the Aramaic phrase Jesus spoke when he raised the little girl from the dead in the Gospel of Mark. They said 'Oh we were dead, but now we have risen?' Born out of the preaching of the Gospel message, Kids for the Kingdom's Talitha Cumi project has helped transform the lives of numerous women providing them with marketable job skills so they in turn can provide food and daily necessities for their children. ‘He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha cumi’ ! (which means, ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!’). Immediately the girl stood up and walked around.’ - Mark 5:41-42

Jesus Raises the Daughter of Jairus

03:26
http://www.mormonchannel.org/watch/series/bible-videos Jesus demonstrates His divine power by raising a young girl from the dead. Mark 5:22-24, 35-43 22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, 23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live. 24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him. 35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? 36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe . 37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. 38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly. 39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado , and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. 41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise . 42 And straightway the damsel arose , and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment. 43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
