Great question! First of all, I'm so glad you are enjoying those courses, we put a ton of work into them :) We are working on a larger scale project that will be a paid course (coming soon!) but wanted to sort of "test" the format with some smaller scale pieces of content, and get a feel for it :) Also, we have really struggled with educational content on YouTube. Educational content is my passion, but it doesn't perform well on YouTube. Unfortunately, since we have to treat this as a business, we can't continue to spend money creating content that people don't watch (the educational content takes us quite a long time to develop). With the courses, we can provide some free and some paid options, and distribute the educational content to people who WANT to watch it, instead of blasting it to YouTube and having a good chunk of people not wanting to watch it. I'm curious about onion and garlic powder. It isn't something I normaly have in the house but I do have actual onions and garlic on hand. Are these powders used for a convenience factor (no chopping!) or to avoid having "chunks" mixed in? Or does it impart some magical taste that I should be aware of lol? Not hating, just genuinely curious :)

I would love a whole 30 challenge. Or ya know, accountability while I'm trying not to eat my favorite combos in the world. Bread and cheese. Cheese and bread. Basically gluten and dairy and their sinfully delicious combinations.

Did you know Coconut Cream makes a great sub for that garbage Dream Whip Mom used to use for Black Forest Cake? It’s my Birthday Cake & getting her to try a GF Cake Recipe was a battle on it’s own, but this too? At least she’ll do it for me now, but still not sure she understands why. It’s also a must on top of Bob’s Red Mill’s GF Brownie Mix whenever I make it. I have a sweet tooth, but that stuff’s almost too sweet for even me on it’s own!! The Coconut Cream does an awesome job of cutting down the sweetness, while adding creamy goodness to the Brownie. Been toying w/trying a Turtle Brownie Parfait using the Brownie mix, the Cream, a batch of Date Caramel & Pecans, but waiting for a special occasion to try it. That really is something that calls for it to made for IMHO. Then again...Maybe if both my hockey teams make it into the NHL Playoffs, I’ll celebrate by trying this 1st night either one or both play!! Love the Banana Chia Pud, as I’ve finally got Mom on the Chia Seeds really are great for you Team & she’s asking me for new ideas all the time, so this is great timing!! Been wanting to try Sweet Potato Toast, but it looked a bit too fussy when I’ve seen it elsewhere. Seeing this has me believing it’s easy & the Strawberries & Coconut Cream? Excuse me as I wipe off the drool from my phone... Is Frozen Fruit Whole 30? Guessing yes, but wondering as freezing can really intensify the sweetness in certain fruit, like Purple Grapes & Pineapple, & it sounds like you need to avoid really sweet things on a Whole 30, so just wondering. BTW a cup of Frozen Peas makes an awesome snack too. They also taste sweeter when frozen. Just putting that out there for consideration. 😊 Thank you for all you do for us & I will be checking out those free workshops/seminars. Especially the one on Inflammation, as being a Celiac & Type 2 Diabetic, that’s one I really need to check out. And now if I want to be up to watch 🇨🇦 v 🇸🇪 in Para Ice Hockey Prelims from the Paralympics, I needs to hit my pillow!! Thanks again!! 😊

I did whole30 for the first time last year, and I loved it. Started one in January, but I gave up when I got sick. I was too tired to cook, clean, or care. 🙂 I would definitely be interested in doing one this year before summer. I could use the reboot.

Would definitely love with to try this someday but I tend to eat lots of grains like rice in my diet right now. Great videos as always. Was wondering if you could do a video on bloating and stomach issues like gas problems. The day before the video came out, I suddenly became so bloated that I was was so uncomfortable for an entire day. I couldn't eat or move and was sometimes in tears from the pain.

You are awesome! Your videos are always entertaining. On another note, I actually did the Whole 30 in July of 2017. It was a bit of a challenge due to July 4th and it being the summer, but I stuck through it with support of friends and family. It definitely changed my relationship with food. I’m also more health conscious of what I eat. The end result was awesome. I felt great and I immediately knew what foods to kick out of my diet completely.

they do have a vegan guideline, it isn't technically whole30 but it's supposed to still be helpful :)

legumes aren't "bad," but they can be inflammatory for a lot of people. In fact, one of my favorite parts of the whole30 program is the reintroduction period where you add those categories of foods back to test them (legumes, soy, dairy, grains, etc) and the thing that bothered me MOST was legumes. It was very enlightening!

I would do whole30 with you! I did it for almost 3 weeks but got strep throat and had some noodle soups my husband got me. I have tried so hard to like sweet potato toast, I just don't like it. Love the other ideas though.

How is oil considered a „whole food“ but legumes not? This diet doesn‘t seem very healthy. I‘d rather have cooked beans/lentils than the fried beef.

Well, legumes have a ton of fiber which is why your body has to slowly get used to them. But this isn't a bad thing, in fact we should all eat more fiber (like our ancestors did) even if it means gas in the first few weeks! Because they help our digestion, balance out blood fat/sugar levels and help to lose weight. :)

Excellent video as usual! I'm not on instagram (at the request of my twenty-something children, who used to look like that angry teen), so I'm wasn't aware of your Whole30 month. Can you tell us a little about why you liked it so much and how it changed your life? Did you find foods you are not compatible with? I often wonder if my stomach is a bit sour after a meal if I am sensitive to some foods. Just a bit more info would be great because it does seem like it could be a difficult 30 days, but I would be willing to try it to see if it really would shake out any food sensitivities. Thanks! ❤️
