Try this simple garlic rice made out of basic ingredients can be made in a very short amount of time.
● Boiled rice -1 cup
● Split black gram (kaala chana) - 1t-spoon
● Bengal gram (chana dal) – 1-spoon
● Garlic – 4 piece
● Red chillies- 2 piece
● Curry leaves – 5 piece
● Salt to taste
● Mustard seeds - 1t-spoon
● Oil- 2 tbl-spoon
● Asafoetida (Hing) - 1/4th t-spoon
Step 1: Firstly, cut garlic and red chillies into small pieces.
Step 2:Start heating 1 tsp mustard seeds (rai), 1 tsp urad dal and 1 tsp chana dal in two tbsp of oil poured into a pan. Add 5 to 7 leaf cody (kadi patta) along with chopped garlic, red chillies and asafoetida (hing) into the hot pan and keep frying it.
Step 3: Then add a cup of boiled rice to the fried ingredients.
Sprinkle some salt as per your taste and heat the entire mixture on low heat slowly.
Aromatic garlic rice is ready to be served!
