Water - 5 cups (to boil)
Corn Flour - 8 tbsp or less
Plain Flour / Maida - 3 tbsp or less
Salt - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

So, I made this recipe and I have to say....it was absolutely delicious! I wasn't sure how I would feel about it on my initial taste but, wow!... it was so amazing!

I personally haven't tried it with chole or chana, but you can definitely try.. Just don't boil them too much, half boil them, then coat well and deep fry carefully in low heat to cook them completely. Be careful as they can also hold moisture like corn and splutter in oil. Rest process will be same :)
Smriti nair msg is not a salt its a protien and as I stated earlier excess of anything is bad. Its up to us how do we exploit the given resources ie. Wisely and judiciously. Also similar complications " that you have mentioned in your comment" coud be deduced by heavy drinking and other types of drug/ materialistic abuse. So ultimately it could be said that consumption of MSG in small amounts is not harmful for your body and during certain conditions if one can avoid these artificial flavorings then there is no arguing about the fact that it should be avoided that's all I am trying to say
kaustuv mishra as you very well know about naturally occuring substance are fine, then you would also know that added salt of MSG to your food can cause deformities during pregnancy. It has been banned in almost all western countries because they care about health, not taste or business!!
