I have never baked cookies as long as what you do, where are you located that you have to bake them that long? I make all of these and only bake 10 to 12 minutes max and they would be too brown if I baked them any longer. I use a thermometer to test my oven often so I know it is actually 350 degrees.

Awesoooooome, no sugar oatmeal cookies. +++ I'm a subscriber!
Neelanjana Bera (12 days ago)
Gemma, can we bake these in the microwave? And if so then how much time do they take?
Neelanjana Bera (11 days ago)
Oh okay. Thank you so much! :)

Unfortunately no but you can find my mug cookies here: https://www.biggerbolderbaking.com/1-minute-mug-cookies/

I made the peanut cookies and they where sooooooo good. 100% advise you to make them
L.A.Sharp (19 days ago)
With peanut butter cookies can you substitute brown sugar for the granulated ? Or will it make it too soft? If there is such a thing as too soft...we like chewy cookies not crisp
Gemma Stafford (18 days ago)
Hi! Yes, you can. Just substitute it 1:1. I hope you enjoy. :)
aoiaaon (21 days ago)
Nobody likes to make cookies with less sugar anymore for diabetics or people on diet. That peanut butter cookie looks sick with all that sugar on it.
Naomi Osho (22 days ago)
Can I use powdered sugar instead of regular sugar for the peanut butter cookies
Gemma Stafford (22 days ago)
No, you'll want to use a granulated sugar.
Tayyiba Shahid (25 days ago)
Hey gemma can we use quick oats instead of rolled oats? It is difficult to find rolled oats ib my country So can you tell that if I can replace them with quick oats in this recipe and other recipes too ?
Tayyiba Shahid (25 days ago)
Gemma Stafford ok thanks
Gemma Stafford (25 days ago)
yes, you can use quick oats in most recipes. :)
Triumph James (28 days ago)
Gemma Stafford For the peanut butter cookies recipe can I replace the egg for oats?
Gemma Stafford (25 days ago)
No, I'd suggest using something like condensed milk or another egg substitute for cookies: https://www.biggerbolderbaking.com/egg-substitutes-for-baking/

I've only made the banana ones so far, and I'm more than pleased with the results yielded. So yummy and a great fast snack to make. I'll definitely be making them more often, and experimenting with this base recipe. Baking on point, earned a sub!

Could you put chocolate chips in these peanut butter cookies? I know that would technically make them four ingredient cookies... But I love chocolate with peanut butter
Gemma Stafford (1 month ago)
You sure can! Get creative. :)

I lo e these simple ingredient recipes that dont require a trip to the store!!! Just one question, would old fashioned oats work or would they be too hard
Gemma Stafford (1 month ago)
Old fashioned oats should work just fine. I hope you enjoy!

Is there something I can use in place off the banana, bc I'm allergic to bananas
Sir Clock (2 months ago)
Yup because i have a spare coconut in my kitchen right now...
Kemarie Carter (2 months ago)
I tried the peanut butter cookies I was a little confused at first one my dough batter looked like that but after 15 minutes it's starting to look like the cookie I didn't put the design in there because I was too lazy but still came out good got my glass of milk
Gemma Stafford (2 months ago)
Thank you for giving it a go, Kemarie :)
Janis Hart (2 months ago)
*Gemma Stafford:* Have you thought of using a pastry blender to mash up the banana? I find it goes faster. BTW, the cookies are NOT "gluten-free", unless you use oats that specifically say "gluten-free" on the package, because often, oats and wheat are processed near each other, which renders the oats NOT gluten-free. My daughter told me this after she was diagnosed with a sensitivity to gluten.
Janis Hart (2 months ago)
*Gemma Stafford:* OK, thanks! All the best to you!! : D
Gemma Stafford (2 months ago)
Hi Janis - you are absolutely correct about the gluten. Oats are gluten-free naturally but the contamination is what gives them that gluten. This recipe is essentially gluten-free otherwise with that in mind. :)
Essjay Man (2 months ago)
thank you Gemma you sound very sweet cookies that even I can make SJ
po redteletubby (2 months ago)
Hi Gemma! I'm allergic to banana, so is there any substitute that I can use to replace it for the first cookie? ☺
Cheryl Crowe (2 months ago)
Cool, the peanut butter cookie is on the back of Kraft peanut butter..thought I recognized it. The problem with this recipe is that it is far too sweet, the first time I made it I liked it,the second time I made it I found it to be a waste of peanut butter, sugar and an egg.
Bonnie Yausie (2 months ago)
Oats are not gluten free
Gemma Stafford (2 months ago)
The gluten in oats comes from contamination in the processing, rather than having gluten naturally. It's important to check your oats when making a decision of purchase.
Beyond Lawliet (2 months ago)
I'm sketchy with fruit because of IBS-C, do you have cookie recipies that are low fodmap and 3 ingredients? Or do you think I could use a chia-egg style to create them?
Gemma Stafford (2 months ago)
I can't say I'm an expert in fodmap, but I do have other recipes available on BiggerBolderBaking.com such as my no bake cookies. I hope you find something that suits you. :)

Esha Sah (2 months ago)
The peanut butter cookie is amazing. I had tried it once and it turned out great. But this time when I tried the oil got separated. What went wrong and how can I save it? Can I use the better for any other cookie or its a waste now?
Esha Sah (2 months ago)
Gemma Stafford - No, I used a different brand of peanut butter this time.
Gemma Stafford (2 months ago)
That's strange! You're saying the oil in the peanut butter separated? Did you use the same peanut butter you used before?
arzoo sultana (2 months ago)
Can we make them in a microwave

Hi Christine. Sponsors help us deliver free content to the community. Filming, editing, buying ingredients and equipment, testing new recipes, etc adds up to be quite an expense and I only partner with companies I am proud of. Without sponsors, we would struggle to continually bring free, quality content. Food for thought.

I tried making the coconut cookies today and they turned out amazing. I kept them in the oven a little longer so they became darker in colour and slightly caramelised too so i ditched the chocolate. Sure going to make these a lot more. Thanks!

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that Lupa. I'm puzzled why they smelled sour. You may want to give my best ever chocolate chip cookies a go instead - they're a richer cookie without banana.

Michael King (3 months ago)
Gemma Stafford yes I know about the website lol. I guess it would just make it easier if you put the measurements quickly on your videos. But I will take a look thank you
Gemma Stafford (3 months ago)
Hi Michael! You can find the measurements on the recipe link in the description box and on BiggerBolderBaking.com. I don’t include measurements in my video as units change internationally and I’d like to avoid any confusion and exclusion. Plus, my website offers a better experience for reading recipes. 😊

melis silem (4 months ago)
Let me spare someone my error in making these-I used all natural stir in the oil peanut butter, it was so loose I couldn't make fork indentations into it. Second batch added a little almond flour and chilled with high hopes-=flat as a pancake. I have a feeling that most store bought lines of PB have stabilizers in them that help them keep some lift.

so i made the peanut butter cookies, they turned out way bigger than i expected but was very happy with the turnout and it tasted amazing, i even made myself put some up for later so i could have more. these cookies were big and bold! a tip my sister gave me was to dip the fork in milk before pressing down to make that traditional peanut butter cookie shape

Gemma, I don't know if you'll see this and respond, but I hope that you will. I would very much love to make the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, however, one of my children has a sensitivity (not quite allergy) to bananas, so I'd rather not use those. You said that the banana takes the place of egg and butter, however, if I wanted to use egg and butter instead of bananas, how many of each would I need? Thanks so much. We JUST made the peanut butter cookies and are waiting for them to cool until we can eat them! :) Edit: they were amazing! Mine turned out a little crispy (probably didn't need that extra couple minutes I gave it) but still delicious. My younger son wants to do them again but mix in chocolate chips next time. :)
Kristina Benning (5 months ago)
Gemma, I'm looking for simple gluten free and sugar free recipes.
jbeargrr (5 months ago)
Those look great. I have to say, though, the chocolate doesn't dry. It's not wet. It's melted. As it cools, it hardens. People say that about melted wax, too. Wax also doesn't dry, but hardens. Regardless, now I want to make all these cookies. Thanks for the great recipes!

Alternative of eggs in this particular cookie?
Gemma Stafford (6 months ago)
A three ingredient cookie, which does not have flour, will need something to bind it. I think I would try this: 1/2 quantity of white sugar, 1/2 brown sugar. 1 cup of ap flour, and a teaspoon of baking powder. This is really off the top of my head, but it may work for you, I think it is worth a shot! :)

Gemma Stafford (6 months ago)
