During May 2018, we drove the Force Gurkha Xplorer to Sandakphu and Phalut on the Nepal - West Bengal border that offers the best view of four of the world’s highest mountains --Kanchenjunga, Everest, Makalu and Lhotse. To reach Sandakphu and Phalut, the two popular trekking spots over 12,000 ft, you have to traverse 20 km of narrow, steep, unpaved track with 52 hairpin bends from Manebhanjyan, about 70 km from Siliguri, West Bengal. We pitched the Gurkha to the local taxi union who operate old Land Roverss on this route. The Force Motors' sales team accompanied by technicians from R&D confirmed the capability of the Gurkha Xplorer to negotiate this arduous terrain comfortably and pitched the Gurkha as a fitting replacement to the old Land Rovers. Until a decision is made, enjoy the scenic route and the grand vistas of the Himalayan range.
